No one enjoys having to clean their gutters, but it is an important part of your home maintenance routine. With clog-free gutters, this arduous task can become much easier and significantly less time-consuming.
Why Is It Important to Clean My Gutters?
Keeping your gutters clear is important for a wide variety of reasons. Clogged gutters can:
Cause Water Damage
If water is allowed to build up in your gutters it may overflow onto your roof and causing damage. Water may also overflow and end up pooling along the foundation of your home. If this water is allowed to freeze it can cause cracks in your foundation, which can lead to a large variety of secondary problems including interior water damage.
Damage to Your Gutters Themselves
The board that runs right behind your gutter is called the fascia. If the water in your gutters overflows it can cause damage to the fascia, which can cause them to rot. Rotten fascia boards may allow water into your home, damaging your interior walls.
Clogged gutters are also heavy, and your gutter system may not be able to handle the extra weight. This can cause your gutter to pull away from the roof, allowing even more water to spill out and cause damage.
Attract Pests
Clogged gutters full of twigs, damp leaves, and other debris may encourage birds or other pests to build nests in your gutter. This further blocks water flow and can make problems even worse.
How Can My Home Benefit From Clog-Free Gutters?
Clog-free gutters feature a protective hood that can help keep leaves, twigs and other debris from building up in your gutters. The hood covers the gutter and keeps debris from falling in, which in turn, allows water to filter through the cover and freely flow to your downspouts.
Our Clog Free Gutter Installation Process
We work hard to ensure your clog-free gutter installation process is quick and painless.
The Quote
We will start by providing you with a quote, which we will do on site. This allows us to give you a comprehensive quote that takes into consideration your specific project and needs. We take measurements for each section of gutter and each downspout needed so that we can give you the most accurate quote.
During the quote, we also determine important factors such as the length of the materials needed, how many downspouts you need and where they will be located, and what color you want your gutters and downspouts to be. We also work with you to determine if your project has any specialized requirements that need to be taken into account when we are planning, building, and installing your clog-free gutters.
Old Gutter Removal and Disposal
Once your quote has been approved and documents have been sent to production, we begin work on the agreed upon date. The first step in the construction process is to remove and dispose of your old gutters. To do this we cut your old gutters into easy-to-handle sections and recycle whatever we can. Old gutters that are made of non-recyclable material are taken to a waste facility so they can be appropriately disposed of.
Preparation and Final Measurements
Once your old gutters have been removed we inspect your fascia (the board located behind your gutters) and make sure it is ready for your new gutters. During this stage, we also do any necessary repairs to your fascia.
Next, we take final measurements of all building length, just to double check that your new gutters are the perfect length for your home.
Production and Installation
One of the many benefits of our clog-free gutter system is the fact that it comes in two pieces – the seamless trough and the seamless protective hood. This means that if either portion ever becomes damage it can be swapped out easily, and you won’t need to have the entire section redone.
During the production stage, we mold your seamless gutters our of either aluminum or copper (depending on which you have chosen) in the color of your choice, as well as measure and build all of your downspouts.
During the installation stage, we attach your gutters and downspouts to your home. We attach our gutters using a patented bracket, which will keep your gutters securely mounted to the fascia. We also double check the slope of your downspouts to ensure that water will drain as it should.
Final Inspection and Clean Up
Once we have finished installing your new clog-free gutters we do a comprehensive final inspection to ensure everything is up to our high standards. Once your installation has passed inspection we clean up our mess.
